Today I’m joining in on Something Brief, Something True , where we share a Scripture verse and a few words.
“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth. May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb.” (Deuteronomy 32:1-2)
Moses, the prophet of the LORD, is speaking here.
His words? The very words of God—which drop as dew, each intentionally, delicately placed to nourish the tender grass of the earth.
How much more does the Word of God nourish our own hearts and souls with perfect precision?
May we seek for it, read it, treasure it, meditate upon it, live it. May we thirst for this gift while we dwell in a parched land where there is no water. It is life to our souls.

Amen!
